We invite you to sponsor a child:

Our aim is help the poorest children in the schools where we work.

We choose the children who will benefit by means of a committee and after several visits to their houses, accompanied by multinational volunteers. We take into account the children who can already write and therefore have opportunities to continue studying, owing to their abilities and their parent’s desires. That doesn’t mean we choose the most intelligent children, we choose average children.

The children we choose come from the poorest families; we favor children from single mother families, widowed or abandoned mothers, and widowed parents and large families. We don’t consider the religious beliefs of their parents, we are open to all beliefs, and therefore we do not attempt to convert participants.

The help goes mainly towards food and clothes. We also collaborate to obtain books, stationary and uniforms. Wearing a uniform is obligatory in Primary and Secondary schools. We check up on their growth regularly and give them psychological and educational test with the aim of improving problems related to their growth, family, social surroundings and education. We inform godparents about any problems with their godchildren.

In holidays we organized cultural and recreation activities for godchildren.

Every year, godparents receive between two or three letters and drawings from their godchildren and a report carried out by a voluntary psychologist or sociologist. The godparents can send letters, photos and small presents to their godchildren. Godparents can have more than one godchild if they want.

We will be very happy to receive godparents when they want to visit their godchildren and we will do all the necessary arrangements for the visit. In addition we will be happy to advise godparents about any travel query.
